Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures’ Corporate Partnerships team is the university’s front door for corporate partners seeking academic research collaboration. We leverage faculty and industry mutual interests to create value and address unmet needs in society, by effectively sourcing, cultivating, and managing strategic industry partnerships, while establishing Johns Hopkins University as a partner of choice for industry.

We strive for collaborative, high-impact, efficient partnerships. From initial discussions and framing deal terms to final execution and alliance management, we streamline the establishment, implementation and ongoing management of research collaborations.

PARTNERSHIPS

We work with partners across a broad spectrum of industries from therapeutics, diagnostics, imaging, and health technologies, to material science and engineering. The following are some of our collaborations

FEATURED RESEARCHER

Jamie Spangler, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Biomedical Engineering and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Spangler’s research aims to expand the repertoire of protein therapeutics by redesigning naturally occurring proteins and engineering new molecules to overcome the deficiencies of existing drugs. Integrating tools from structural biophysics, biomolecular engineering, and translational immunology, her research focuses on developing platforms for the discovery and design of proteins that recruit novel mechanisms for disease therapy. Spangler’s lab is interested in engineering antibody-based molecules that reshape immune cell behavior for targeted treatment of cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders. The goal of her interdisciplinary research program is to establish new insights into protein behavior and the extent to which it can be manipulated for medical applications.
