Throughout the year, JHTV runs structured programs that take cohorts of teams through validated curricula. These programs provide innovative projects and ventures with important early lessons around topics such as customer discovery and product-market fit.

I-Corps

An immersive learning experience developed by the National Science Foundation for researchers, faculty, students, and others to determine if the problem they are working to solve exists on a larger scale in the market. The seven-week program requires participants to dedicate a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Hexcite

A medical software start-up generator program for entrepreneurs. Following the 16-weeks of inventive programming and mentorship, Hexcite teams are prepared to build their technology with JHTV, conduct an internal pilot at Johns Hopkins, and launch a Baltimore start-up.

Pava Center Student Accelerators

The Pava Center’s accelerator programming is an opportunity for student innovators to work collaboratively to make progress on their ventures. These engaging, cross-disciplinary initiatives build skills, grow networks, and connect founders with other entrepreneurs. Student teams are grouped by stage to allow them to learn together at a pace that makes sense for where they are on their entrepreneurial journey. All of the accelerators are industry agnostic; any kind of venture (including nonprofits) are eligible to apply.

Social Innovation Lab

The Social Innovation Lab (SIL) accelerates leaders and ventures building innovative, sustainable, and scalable solutions that work towards a healthy and prosperous world. Open to any applicant from the greater Baltimore area, SIL aims to see mission-driven ventures from both the Johns Hopkins and the surrounding communities develop into thriving ventures with measurable impacts. The six-month program alternates between weekly online and in-person two hour sessions at the Pava Center.
