Themed “Research Saves Lives,” the report highlights how academic discoveries at Johns Hopkins University are being translated into real-world solutions through strategic partnerships, entrepreneurial support, and robust technology transfer.
Highlights include:
- Our portfolio of startups has raised $4.8 billion in venture capital and achieved 45 company exits since 2014.
- 131 startups raised more than $130 million in venture capital with 56% of the investment staying in Baltimore.
- Generated $59 million in licensing revenue, executed 97 licensing agreements, and secured 137 new U.S. patents.
- JHTV’s impact was featured in FastCompany, Inc. Magazine, and a live podcast with Kara Swisher, highlighting Johns Hopkins as a rising innovation hub.
