Application

Baltimore Homecoming’s Crab Tank Entrepreneurship Program offers local businesses the opportunity to compete for a $25,000 grand prize and a $2,500 people’s choice award, sponsored by M&T Bank.

In addition to funding, the program aims to alleviate barriers to success by inviting Crab Tank winners to join a network of Baltimore business leaders and gain access to the homegrown expertise of Baltimore Homecoming’s alumni and community partners.

A committee comprised of M&T Bank staff, past Crab Tank entrepreneurs, and leaders in the technology, entrepreneurship, and finance industries will select 10 applicants to go to a public vote. The top five entrepreneurs chosen by the Baltimore community will then pitch their companies to an audience and panel of business expert judges during Baltimore Homecoming’s signature event in 2025.

Each finalist will have 3-5 minutes to present their pitch to the judges, with up to two additional minutes allotted for questions. Presenters may use PowerPoint, video, or other visual aids for their pitch.

Crab Tank winners will be announced at the signature event.

Applications are due Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
