TNT (Translational Neuroengineering Technologies) Network is partnering with Blackrock Neurotech, Abbott Laboratories, Ripple Neuro, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab (APL), Johns Hopkins Professional Development and Career Office (PDCO), and Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures (JHTV) for this exciting workshop. The goal is to expose students to diverse career paths and engaging stories from leaders in translational neuroengineering. The workshop is an opportunity for students to meet people working in the neuroengineering industry and to learn about professional development resources at Johns Hopkins. The workshop will consist of a keynote talk, a panel discussion, a lunch mixer, and open house/networking session. 

Workshop Agenda:

  • Keynote talk — Julia Brown, VP of Software Product & Strategy, Blackrock Neurotech
  • Panel discussion — Spencer Kellis, Neuroscience Tech Lead at Blackrock Neurotech and Research Assistant Professor at USC; Anahita Kyani, Senior Manager of Data Science in Abbott Neuromodulation; Jessi Mischel, Neurotechnology Consultant and Business Leader; Brock Wester, Assistant Program Manager for the Human-Machine Intelligence Program at JHU APL
  • Lunch mixer — Network with fellow students and leaders in neuroengineering. Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
  • Open house/networking session — with Blackrock Neurotech, Abbott, Ripple Neuro, JHU APL, JHU PDCO, and JHTV reps, including consulting related to resumes
