Take a virtual tour of the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center, one of the highest-volume trauma centers in the United States and a worldwide leader in trauma care for more than 50 years. Each year, Shock Trauma serves more than 7,000 critically ill and severely injured patients, of whom 96 percent survive.
