The I-Corps program prepares scientists, engineers, and innovators across disciplines to extend their focus beyond the university laboratory and accelerates the economic and societal benefits of research projects that are ready to move toward commercialization.

I-Corps Participants

  • Learn to identify valuable product opportunities that can emerge from academic research
  • Gain skills in entrepreneurship through training in customer discovery
  • Receive guidance from established entrepreneurs

The I-Corps program is an immersive learning experience developed by the National Science Foundation for researchers, faculty, students, and others to determine if the problem they are working to solve exists on a larger scale in the market.

To date, more than 200 teams have engaged directly with Johns Hopkins I-Corps program which challenges participants to test their hypothesis on their technology’s relevance and viability through customer discovery, which will lead to viable value propositions. The I-Corps program is offered at NO COST throughout the year.
